ABOUT MAEVE

 

Maeve Press was born and raised in New York. She starred in the 2025 pilot for the new Disney+ show HOLES, an all-female reboot of the Disney film from 2003. She can be seen as a series regular playing the role of “Genevieve” on the Freeform/HULU show Everything’s Gonna Be Okay. Rolling Stone described her performance as some of, “…The best and most natural kid performances in recent TV memory.”

 

 

As a comedian, Maeve has performed at numerous festivals including San Francisco SketchFest headlining with Janeane Garofalo and was the youngest stand-up ever to perform at Boston’s Women in Comedy Festival, NJ’s Hoboken Comedy Festival and was named a “Best of Fest” at the Burbank Comedy Festival. Maeve began her career in NYC theater making her Off-Broadway debut at the iconic Public Theatre in the critically acclaimed play Before Your Very Eyes. Maeve also starred in the award-winning indie film Theresa Is a Mother and as “Becky” in the podcast Big Envelopes with Abbi Jacobson. As a writer, Maeve was a contributing writer on Everything’s Gonna be Okay and she co-wrote and starred in the Just For Laughs Montréal award-winning short Too Many Buddhas with Maria Bamford. Her solo show FAILURE CONFETTI had its UK premiere at the 2024 Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
